On October 30, 2025, the China Light Electric Vehicle (Wuxi) Innovation and Development Conference was successfully held in Wuxi. With strong support from the China Bicycle Association, the conference was co-organized by the Xishan Electric Vehicle Specialized Industrial Park, Xishan Electric Vehicle Foreign Trade Association, and the Yangtze River Delta (Wuxi) Electric Vehicle Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Park. Over 300 attendees participated, including representatives from electric vehicle industry associations across provinces and municipalities, leading domestic electric vehicle manufacturers, key component suppliers, as well as executives and experts from institutions such as the China Quality Certification Center (CQC), China Certification & Inspection Group (CCLC), China Automotive Certification Center (CCAP), China Certification & Inspection Group (CBC), TÜV, and UL.
Guided by the Department of Consumer Goods of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Certification Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Quality and Safety Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the China Bicycle Association, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, the conference centered on the theme “New National Standards as a Guide, New Materials Innovation, New Process Application, New Product Empowerment.” It featured sessions on “Policy Interpretation,” " Technical Innovation,“ and ”International Regulations.“ Two parallel sessions were also organized: ”Technical Seminar on Domestic E-Bike Innovation and Development“ and ”Seminar on E-Bike Export Policies and Regulations."
Fang Li, Secretary of the Xishan District Party Committee, attended the conference and delivered an opening address. Deng Xiaoding, Deputy Inspector of the Consumer Goods Department at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, extended congratulations on the conference's convening. Addressing the routine and long-term safety management of electric bicycles, he outlined opinions and requirements regarding the strict implementation of the new standards to ensure the safe release of new vehicles, proactive fulfillment of industry regulatory conditions, and strengthening the construction of lithium battery health assessment networks. Miao Yuchen, Director of the Consumer Goods Division at the Product Quality Safety Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Huang Ping, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology; Jiang Jing, Chief Engineer of the Jiangsu Provincial Market Regulation Administration; Guo Wenyu, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Bicycle Association; Wang Ying, Director of the Machinery Industry Department of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products; leaders from the Wuxi Municipal Government; leaders from the Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Market Regulation Administration, Commerce Bureau, and Council for the Promotion of International Trade; as well as leaders and experts from the National Light Electric Vehicle Quality Inspection Center attended the opening ceremony.
